About the Cloud Solutions Team
The Cloud Solutions team at Aereo is responsible for building and maintaining Aereo Cloud, our cloud-native enterprise SaaS platform that enables organizations to store, process, visualize, analyze, and manage large-scale drone and geospatial datasets.
Aereo Cloud powers workflows involving large-scale data processing, GIS visualization, AI/ML workloads, analytics, collaboration, and enterprise-grade infrastructure systems.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate DevOps Intern with hands-on exposure to AWS, Terraform, ECS, and cloud networking to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn infrastructure automation, optimize cloud deployments, and support scalable production systems. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD is essential, while familiarity with Azure will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Assist in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform
Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Batch, and more
Help deploy and manage containerized applications on Amazon ECS (EC2/Fargate)
Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
Collaborate with developers to automate deployment workflows and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
Configure and maintain networking components including VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, and routing
Monitor cloud resources and optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Contribute to automation scripts and internal platform tooling
Requirements
Good understanding of AWS core services (ECS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Batch, etc.)
Practical knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles
Understanding of networking fundamentals — DNS, routing, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and load balancers
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting basics
Basic understanding of Docker and containerization concepts
Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new technologies
Good to Have
Exposure to Azure cloud services
Scripting knowledge in Python or Bash
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
