About the Role 

We are looking for a curious and driven Business Development Intern who wants to learn the complete enterprise sales journey, from understanding customer requirements and managing stakeholder interactions to supporting proposals, bids, and commercial engagements across diverse industries. 

Unlike traditional sales internships, this role is focused on learning enterprise business development, stakeholder management, customer engagement, proposal development, and commercial execution rather than high-volume outbound prospecting or cold-calling activities. 

You will gain exposure to how large enterprise opportunities are identified, managed, and converted into long-term customer relationships. The role involves working across multiple functions, understanding customer requirements, coordinating with internal teams, supporting proposal and tender submissions, and helping drive successful customer engagements. 

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, a strong listener, intellectually curious, highly organized, and capable of quickly understanding new industries, technologies, and business challenges. 

This is a PPO (Pre-Placement Offer) tracked internship, and exceptional performers will be considered for full-time opportunities at Aereo. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with the Business Development and Leadership teams to support strategic enterprise opportunities across India and international markets. 

  • Participate in customer interactions and assist in managing communication with clients and key stakeholders. 

  • Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely responses and effective solutions. 

  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, Delivery, and Leadership teams. 

  • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, commercial documents, bids, tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and customer-facing materials. 

  • Conduct industry, account, competitor, and market research across sectors such as Mining, Infrastructure, Construction, Energy, Utilities, and Industrial Operations. 

  • Maintain business opportunity trackers, customer documentation, meeting notes, and commercial records with high attention to detail. 

  • Support customer meetings, business reviews, and solution discussions while learning how enterprise engagements are managed. 

  • Assist in coordinating internal teams during proposal development, solutioning exercises, and customer requirement gathering. 

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the business development function. 

  • Learn the complete enterprise sales lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification to proposal submission and customer success. 

 

What We're Looking For 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree (MBA candidates are encouraged to apply). 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Strong listening skills and the ability to engage confidently with customers and stakeholders. 

  • A professional, customer-centric personality with a genuine interest in relationship building. 

  • Strong documentation, presentation, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to quickly understand new industries, business models, technologies, and customer challenges.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and eager to take ownership of responsibilities. 

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. 

  • Interest in enterprise sales, business development, consulting, account management, customer success, or commercial strategy.
