Intern- Software Development (Backend) (QC08849)

 

We are looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer Intern who enjoys solving real engineering problems and building scalable cloud applications.

As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers on production systems used by enterprise customers. This is not a training-only internship; you will contribute to live products involving backend services, authentication, cloud infrastructure, and content delivery.

This role is ideal for final-year students or recent graduates who have strong programming fundamentals and are eager to build production-grade software.

 

 

During your internship, you will contribute to engineering initiatives such as:

·       Designing and implementing advance access control mechanisms

·       Developing scalable backend APIs and microservices

·       Building secure authentication and authorization workflows

·       Optimizing backend performance and system reliability

·       Collaborating with frontend and DevOps teams on production deployments

 

·       Design, develop and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI

·       Develop clean, secure and scalable REST APIs

·       Build features using modern microservice architecture

·       Write reusable, maintainable and well-tested code

·       Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

·       Debug, profile and optimize backend services

·       Work with SQL databases and ORM frameworks

·       Integrate backend services with frontend applications

·       Document technical designs, APIs, and implementation details.

 

·       Strong understanding of Python

·       Good understanding of REST API development

·       Hands-on experience with Django and/or FastAPI

·       Basic knowledge and understanding of React.js C Typescript

·       Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)

·       Knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)

·       Basic understanding of software design principles

·       Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

·       Good communication and willingness to learn

·       Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows

 

·       Knowledge of Microservices architecture

·       Docker and containerization basics

·       Authentication concepts (JWT, OAuth2)

·       Redis or caching concepts

·       Infra exposure (AWS/Azure)

·       Linux command line familiarity

·       CI/CD basics

·       Unit testing using Pytest

·       GIS/Geospatial domain knowledge or working with geospatial data is a Plus

·       Relevant personal projects, internships, or open-source contributions.

 

·       Work on production-scale engineering problems
