About the Role

We are looking for highly motivated interns to join our Solution Engineering team and work on real-world GIS, AI, and platform-driven problem solving.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building tools, automating workflows, working with geospatial data, and developing practical technology solutions using Python, GIS, and AI/ML technologies.

You will work closely with Solution Engineers, Product teams, Developers, GIS experts, and domain SMEs to support the development of scalable workflows, internal tools, and product-ready solution components.

What You’ll Do

• Develop Python-based tools, scripts, utilities, and workflow prototypes
• Support the conversion of real-world problem statements into structured technical workflows
• Work on GIS-based analysis, automation, and geospatial data processing workflows
• Assist in backend integrations, APIs, database workflows, and platform-related development activities
• Support AI/ML-based analysis, detection, and automation use cases
• Work with geospatial datasets such as raster, vector, DEM/DTM, orthomosaics, point clouds, and drone-generated outputs
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, GIS, Platform, and Solution Engineering teams
• Support testing, debugging, validation, and workflow optimization activities
• Prepare workflow documentation, technical notes, release documentation, and internal knowledge material

What We’re Looking For

• Strong Python programming skills
• Understanding of GIS and geospatial data concepts
• Familiarity with raster/vector datasets, coordinate systems, projections, DEM/DTM, and spatial analysis workflows
• Exposure to QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar GIS platforms
• Basic understanding of backend systems, APIs, and databases
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or similar databases
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Curiosity to learn and work on real-world industrial problem solving

Good to Have

• Exposure to frameworks such as Django or FastAPI
• Familiarity with geospatial libraries and tools such as:
  • GDAL
  • PDAL
  • GeoPandas
  • Rasterio
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as:
  • Scikit-learn
  • PyTorch
  • TensorFlow
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Git, or Linux environments
• Exposure to drone data, LiDAR, photogrammetry, point clouds, or remote sensing workflows
• Interest in mining, infrastructure, GIS platforms, digital twins, or industrial analytics workflows
